I cannot believe it is the last day of the year. It's like I blinked and the first day became the last day. I am not one for new year's resolutions. I believe it takes the wind out of all that was accomplished in the previous year. Instead of making that list, I like to reflect.
There are a lot of things that I wanted to do this year, could have, and did not, but the number of wins I had (and you had), are impossible to count. I'm not referring to the resolutions list you didn't complete. I am talking about that day you wanted to quit, and you chose not to. Do you remember that phone call you made to ask for forgiveness, when the other person was definitely in the wrong? What about that new thing you were afraid to start? Maybe you didn't fully launch it, but you wrote down a plan.
Some of you released unhealthy relationships, and some of you mended good ones. This year, you stopped looking at self-care as being selfish and started prioritizing your health. You took leaps of faith, you finally said what was on your mind and took up for yourself, or you chose to be silent as a sign of maturity because you always speak your mind. We forget that our year includes more wins than the unchecked resolution list. The small wins carry us, and the big wins are the culmination of all those yeses to go, pursue, run, pause, or rest.
I encourage you to reflect on this past year. Write down your wins no matter how small they seem, and use them as fuel for your next focus. You will find that your next focus will be an elevated version of what you have already accomplished. I am in anticipation for this next year. I am looking forward to sharing our wins together, big or small. I can't wait to share what you start, what you grow, and what you accomplish because it's encouragement for the next woman who is choosing to start.
We are growing together, and Mom Dreams is evidence of small steps, leaps of faith, forgiveness, honesty, and heart. Now remove Mom Dreams and put your name. You, your existence, is evidence that small steps, leaps of faith, forgiveness, honesty, and heart produces beautiful fruit. You are God's greatest accomplishment, and today, your biggest win can be reflection. Do not rush past the moment, writing down what you want to do in 2025 without identifying what you have already done.
I love you all dearly. Thank you for allowing me to share my heart with you this year, and celebrating with me every step of the way. This Mom Dreamer will see you in 2025!
Thank you 😊 for this. . Thank you for reminding me to sit in my joy, my happiness, my gladness of all the little things all the gratitude I’ve been able to experience this year thank you. This post reminded me that there is liberty and gratitude and appreciation and it’s OK to sit in that for a little while Reflect on that.
